Straight From the Frontlines: Emgage Constituents in FL Speak First Hand About the Rohingya Reality
At a recent congressional meeting with Congressman Christi Chris, Emgage advocated for support for action addressing the current tragedy unfolding in Burma, focusing on the brutal and senseless persecution of Rohingya Muslims. We asked the Congressman to co-sponsor House Resolution 4223,
which recognizes the current atrocities taking place and advocates for sanctions on the Burmese military. During this meeting, Emgage was lucky to have a special constituent, Dr Minal Ahson, from the community join us.
Dr. Minal recently traveled to Rohingya refugee camps in Bangledesh to serve on a medical mission for our Muslim brothers and sisters in need. She was able to share with the Congressman’s office how devastating the reality of the situation is for the Rohingya and speak firsthand about the immediate need for support.
You can read Dr. Minal’s first hand account of her experience here.
